“In March of 2011, I stood on the balcony of a guest house in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It had been a long day working in a make-shift medical and dental clinic to serve the at-risk children in one of the poorest neighborhoods in the city. Darkness had fallen over the city, and from my vantage point, I could see millions of twinkling lights sparkling like candles. The capital city of Ethiopia is a city that, by some estimates, is home to over six million people, the vast majority of whom were trapped in a crushing cycle of generational poverty with no way of escape. It was at that moment that the two questions that would jumpstart my journey to impact became clear.
Hopefully you will be able to learn from the mistakes I and others have made. And throughout the process, you will glean some principles on which you can build your own uniquely personal framework of impact. A framework that will catapult you to significant, catalytic, and generational impact.”
