In a world of such vast resources juxtaposed to such overwhelming need, why are we having so little impact on the issues that matter most to humanity? And why, in many cases, do our well-intentioned attempts to alleviate need cause so much harm?
These two questions have driven my journey to impact over the past decade. As I travel the globe and speak to individuals as well as groups about the subject of impact, I have realized that we are all asking similar questions—questions about some of the most painful and difficult issues of our time. Yet no matter how tangled, nuanced, and twisted the journey might be, we must pursue the answers. Because the issues affect millions of people around the globe in very real, tangible, and personal ways.
